National Young Engineering Icon Award 2025

This prestigious award is to recognize prominent young Malaysian engineers who are people with high integrity, have demonstrated remarkable leadership and contributed immensely to the community. They are the role models of the engineering profession and iconic figures in the engineering industry. The award nominee shall be a Malaysian registered with BEM and have demonstrated creativity, innovativeness and resourcefulness in his/her roles, responsibilities and functions.

Opening Date : 15th April 2025

Closing Date : 15th May 2025

Criteria of the Award

  • A Malaysian
  • A registered person with BEM
  • Impact to nation building and society.
  • Creativity and innovativeness
  • Resourcefulness in their roles, responsibilities and functions
  • Has shown selfless and meritorious service to the engineering industry
  • Recognized within their own sector or industry
  • A leader and a role model with high integrity
  • Shall not exceed 40 years of age on the closing date of nomination.

Nomination of Award

  • Engineering organisations such as government agencies, GLCs, associations, IHLs, ECPs and engineering companies may nominate their nominees for consideration.
  • All nominations must have a proposer and a seconder for each of the nominations.
  • Only one (1) nomination per organisation is allowed.
  • Nominee will be the best-choice nominee of the organisation.
  • Nominations of nominees must include complete biodata and verifiable evidence that meet each criteria.
  • Nomination form must be signed by Proposer, Seconder and Nominee.
  • The Proposer is anyone within the association or society who knows the nominee well enough to provide a meaningful endorsement or recommendation.
  • Seconder must be the President or Chairman or Head of the Association or Society.

Pre-Requisites

  • A Malaysian
  • A registered person with BEM
  • No disciplinary record with BEM
  • No criminal record
  • Not a bankrupt
  • Shall not exceed 40 years of age on the closing date of nomination.

Process of Application

**The completed Online Form shall be uploaded with the supporting documents (proof/evidence) together with CV or Biodata through the provided link.

**Submit a scanned copy of the duly completed and signed Proposer Declaration Form, Seconder Declaration Form and Nominee Acceptance and Declaration Form in the respective link.

**BEM will send an email to notify receipt of nominations.

**BEM will reject incomplete nominations.

**Award Winner will be notified by BEM before the award ceremony.

**Announcement and conferment of the awards will be made at the BEM Convention 2025 in August 2025.
